Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-video-ati
ATI driver detects both VGA and DVI port on ATI Radeon X300 (which has only a
VGA port) for Acer Monitor.
Screen mirroring works (with some artifacts) and at a low resolution (monitor
supports 1920x1080). However, non-mirroring configurations generally don't
work. I've occasionally gotten the DVI to work at 1360x768 with the VGA off
even though there is no DVI port and the VGA is 1920x1080 (the VGA is correctly
detected at 1920x1080, but just comes up blank until I use my thinkpad fn+F7
key to turn mirroring back on)
