That helped a lot, thanks for your help! Finally I can use Tuxguitar again!
Not being a Java programmer myself I totally forgot about the JAVA_HOME entry in my .bashrc! It still pointed to the Sun JDK that I used some Ubuntu versions ago. The upgrade to Karmic must have replaced it with the OpenJDK. I fixed the JAVA_HOME path, now tuxguitar starts (although it takes eternally to get past the splash screen, which turns grey after some seconds, until the Tuxguitar window appears after 30-40 seconds). Thanks again and sorry for the inconvenience. -- tuxguitar doesn't start with OpenJDK (java not found) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/478177 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
