Public bug reported: Binary package hint: rfkill
My Wireless driver was working perfectly under lucid. However, upon upgrade to maverick, the network manager applet constantly displays 'device not ready'. When i run 'sudo ifconfig wlan0 up', it gives 'SIOCSIFFLAGS: Operation not possible due to RF-kill' I tried running 'rfkill list all' (both with and without sudo). The cursor just goes to the next line and keeps blinking. i tried leaving it on for about half an hour in a terminal window and nothing happens. The same result for 'rfkill unblock all' (again, with and without sudo). So right now, I'm pretty much stuck with no way to get my wireless working. Wireless Controller : Atheros Communications Inc.
