I initially got this error on my laptop (DELL inspiron mini 1012) when testing the Maverick RC, but I guessed that it was related to an Intel video driver issue. Upon installing Maverick on my desktop, the audio is completely messed up. I get all sorts of errors in /var/log messages such as:
-- Oct 11 02:05:05 lyria kernel: [ 1966.899256] 2:1:1: cannot get freq at ep 0x1 -- or a barrage of these (if i don't put tsched=0 in the default.pa config) Oct 11 01:40:46 lyria pulseaudio[2103]: ratelimit.c: 5 events suppressed -- A number of other issues related to audio also exist including audio playback in Banshee and volume controls being logarithmic instead of linear. I won't get into those details here, however. The error is more common in high quality video files, but that may just be codec related. In any case, this was all working perfectly under Lucid (including on the inspiron mini). -- totem not playing video files "Disconnected: Connection terminated" https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/410047 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
