I experienced the same issue on my Asus eeePC 901. I selected France but the right pane was stuck on Turkish choices. Buttons are greyed and it hangs with no chance to do anything else. I'm going to try to chose "Try Ubuntu" instead of "Install Ubuntu" and see how it behaves.
