Public bug reported:
gmplayer crashes occasionally, and especially when fast-seeking, when playing
(dual-audio) ogg/ogm files with subtitles on.
I couldn't test it with avi files, but mkv doesn't seem to be a problem.
mplayer (no-gui) seems to work fine.
I tried aptitude reinstall mplayer gstreamer0.10-alsa
gstreamer0.10-ffmpeg gstreamer0.10-gnomevfs gstreamer0.10-plugins-bad
gstreamer0.10-plugins-base gstreamer0.10-plugins-base-apps gstreamer0.10
-plugins-good gstreamer0.10-tools gstreamer0.10-x
I'm running Xubuntu 7.04 Feisty Fawn BETA (latest multiverse/universe from
feisty-main, -updates, -backports, -security, -proposed).
I didn't have the same problem in Edgy (it has worked before).
Sound system default is set to alsa.
Latest fglrx drivers from repos.
This is the command I use:
$ gmplayer -display :0.0 -vo xv -ao alsa -idx -afm ffmpeg -vfm ffmpeg
-subfont-osd-scale 2.7 -subfont-text-scale 2.7 -fs -aid 1 filename.ogm
