** Description changed:

Installed Mythbuntu 10.04 Desktop i386 on to sata hard drive of the
AMD64 machine and installed all updates. Everything worked just fine.
After copying the installation to nfs server (followed document
  https://help.ubuntu.com/community/DisklessUbuntuHowto) then network
booting failed resulting kernel panic. But if the sata drive isn't
removed from the machine network boot works fine.
