Obviously, because I wanted to experiment with python pointing to a different 
version (2.5, in my case). By the way, how come python isn't managed by the 
alternatives mechanism?
Ok, I know: if I do something by hand, then I'm on my own. But, anyway, the 
program should raise an adeguate exception, rather than this one (something 
that say "python symlink is wrong: it should be something like 'pythonX.Y'").
