I have the same problem too. I am currently on ubuntu maverick RC and that problem wasn't there with ubuntu lucid The performance of glxgears is terrible, considering the fact that I am on a i5 430 and 4gb ram. Ubuntu 64 bit. My dmesg is very similar to the one attached (execpt for the nouveau drivers, because my laptop is a hybrid graphic one)
