I conform that in my case the problem is the line "loopback loop0 /ubuntu/disks/root.disk" I have another system where the system does not reboot before the grub menu and I can edit the entries. After an upgrade if I boot 'Ubuntu' the there's a soft reset, but if I edit the menu entry and remove that line, then it boots normally.
