Interesting experience with Ubuntu 9.10 on my system: * Headphones do work if "Sound preferences"-"Output" connector set to "Analog output". Setting to "Analog Headphones" mutes headphones * Changing alsamixer's "Headphon" volume bar does not affect volume changes in the headphones * Headphones' volume changes only with "Front" volume bar changing in alsamixer
