I have investigated my issues a bit further.

The crashing of the X-server:
I have X11vnc running through Xsetup (Thus before login)
If I disable this, the X server doesn't reboot anymore.
This problem did not occur in lucid

The reason why X11vnc reboots the X-server is most likely due to the
filesystem being remounted after the ata has a reset.

If more info is needed: just ask.

Kind regards

Lieven
