Binary package hint: compiz
The error message was "trying to overwrite
/usr/share/applications/compiz.desktop which is also in package compiz-
core 1"
After that I got screen corruption where the title bars were unusable.
This happened with both the 32 bit and 64 bit versions of Maverick RC1.
I was able to recover by doing a ppa purge with ubuntu tweak.
