On Lenovo Ideapad U150, the touchpad supports two-finger vertical and horizontal scroll, after executing the following commands: xinput set-int-prop "SynPS/2 Synaptics TouchPad" "Synaptics Two-Finger Pressure" 32 10 xinput set-int-prop "SynPS/2 Synaptics TouchPad" "Synaptics Two-Finger Width" 32 8 xinput set-int-prop "SynPS/2 Synaptics TouchPad" "Two-Finger Scrolling" 8 1 xinput set-int-prop "SynPS/2 Synaptics TouchPad" "Synaptics Two-Finger Scrolling" 8 1 1
As two-finger scroll works flawlessly using xinput to configure the touchpad it does not seem probable to me that the kernel is reporting the device as not supporting multitouch. The problem seem to be the applications that are included in the distribution for configuring the pointing devices: * In gnome-mouse-properties the Two-Finger-Scrolling option in Touchpad settings tab is greyed out, so the application cannot be used to activate two-finger scroll. * In gpointing-device-settings, the one can activate the options, but with no effect; two-finger scroll does not work. -- Two-finger scrolling doesn't work on synaptics touchpad https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/462166 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
