Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gamin

I know that Feisty is in the freeze stage now, but please consider
upgrading gamin to 0.1.8-2 from Debian testing / unstable

I have recently noticed that gamin does not seem to be running on my
system. I noticed this a few days ago when I was downloading the
Elephants Dream movie from http://orange.blender.org/download. I opened
a Nautilus window and noticed that the file did not seem to update its
file size, despite the fact that I could see output of curl showing that
the movie was indeed being downloaded.

I then put together a script in Python that would create a file so that
I could see it being increased and noticed that my Nautilus window still
wouldn't update until I pressed CTRL-R

After searching the Debian bug tracking system, it seems my symptoms are
very similar to bug 403247 (shown at http://bugs.debian.org/403247).
Like some of the posters there, I have had trouble successfully
reproducing the bug, but after installing 0.1.8-2 of gamin (and related
packages) then restarting Nautilus, Nautilus then started to display
newly-created files without having to press CTRL-R beforehand.

A little bit more information
* I am using the 64-bit version of Feisty
* The previous gamin version (0.1.7-3) does not work either
* The version of Nautilus I'm using is 2.18.0.1-0ubuntu2

I'm sorry I cannot provide more information on this bug report
