Public bug reported:
When using the 2.6.17-5-k7 kernel on my Averatec 3100 laptop after grub
the screen goes completely white.
This happens when I use the VIA or VESA drivers in X.org as well. I've
never had any problem when using the VESA driver before.
The video is fine on the 2.6.15 kernel so I don't think it is directly
related to X.org.
I used to get this problem on breezy before the VIA drivers were
updated. If I used the vesa driver there was no problem. It went away in
Dapper and I was able to use the VIA driver.
