@DW: That's actually the guide I already followed without success. Anyways, I found the "solution": I had to update the initramfs image in order to get this working; that's a step the guide is missing (maybe because it's more or less obvious). Nevertheless, the guide is written as if it provides all neccessary steps so I just didn't get the idea - until now.
