Ciao Fabio. You're right, I forgot some important things. I'm on 10.10 with 2.6.35-20-generic (updated now), but this happens on 10.04 and on 9.10 too. The machine was assembled by me, but you will find better infos on reports sent by apport. :) Perhaps the problem is related to video drivers (ATI Radeon X1950 GT), because the problem did not occur on 9.10 in live mode, when drivers were not open and they were not installed by default.
