Public bug reported: In default installation of Ubuntu 10.10 Beta 3 i am experiencing some problems opening my external hard drive, it's listed in places but whenever i click on it, i receive error:
======================== Unable to mount FreeAgent Drive Error mounting: mount exited with exit code 17: Error opening '/dev/sdc1': No such device or address Failed to mount '/dev/sdc1': No such device or address Either the device is missing or it's powered down, or you have SoftRAID hardware and must use an activated, different device under /dev/mapper/, (e.g. /dev/mapper/nvidia_eahaabcc1) to mount NTFS. Please see the 'dmraid' documentation for help. ======================== Possible workout for me is to reconnect hard drive. But once restarted, problem appears again. P.S. I didn't had this problem in Lucid so this is something Maverick specific bug. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Can't open external HD in Maverick beta 3 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/636281 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
