Public bug reported: Binary package hint: network-manager
After a fresh install of feisty (used to have edgy installed) I noticed ssh was painfully slow on initial connection (even to localhost) compared to my previous edgy installation. I also noticed other network related applications were also slow on initial connection. So, I removed network-manager (new feisty network app), did a reboot, and ssh worked fine. This is an HP NC6000 laptop where eth0 is the wifi and eth1 is the wired. I was connected via eth1 (wired) when I had this problem. ** Affects: network-manager (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Unconfirmed -- Slow networking with network-manager installed https://launchpad.net/bugs/99342 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
