Uninstalling in wine is a bit more hit and miss - the simplest approach is to
delete the folder you installed to (~/.wine by default) - Be advised that this
will remove all wine programs installed to there.

Could you please confirm whether this is still an issue with a recent version
of wine (preferably 1.2) from https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-wine/+archive/ppa ?

Tried to install quicken 2010 using Wine Beta..didnt wrk, tried uninstal, didnt
wrk, uninstalled Wine completely but it still show as an application w/ quicken
