Today I checked it in Kubuntu 10.10 and the bug is still present there.
Steps to reproduce are still the same (just choose Czech keyboard layout
with <|> key). It is not present in other Czech keyboard layouts, but I
cannot confirm / disconfirm it for other languages. The bug is probably
caused by a silly programming error like no escaping of "<|>" characters
in the name of layout...
