Well, assuming I'm correct about the size of the buttons automatically ajusting to the size of the largest button, I'd propose to exclude the numbers and mathmatical symbols from that procedure. It shouldn't matter, since they are the same symbols in all languages (correct me if I'm wrong).
So basically, the purple and red buttons would get a fixed width, while the grey, green and blue buttons keep their current behaviour, since their width can vary in different languages. To clarify, I've make a small mockup showing what I'm proposing. I'm not a programmer, so I'm not sure if what I'm proposing is actually possible. ** Attachment added: "gcalctool_dutch_new.png" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gcalctool/+bug/626289/+attachment/1562233/+files/gcalctool_dutch_new.png -- gcalctool buttons are too big in dutch https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/626289 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
