I can confirm that this patch builds cleanly and works as expected. The package is easily rebuilt through instructions here: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/UbuntuPackagingGuide/BuildFromDebdiff. I got some help on IRC in #ubuntu-motu, so head there if you need help. :)
