Ok..
Here is the solution:

If you have the "leaked" ubuntu-beta font installed, just delete it.

Check whether they are.
Should be in ~/.fonts or /usr/share/fonts/truetype

Delete all the *ubuntu* fonts from there.
Next, run from terminal:
sudo fc-cache -f -v

Then install original "ubuntu-private-fonts" from PPA
The version installed from the repositories is located under:
usr/share/fonts/truetype/ubuntu-private-fonts
so don't delete that!

Then log out and log back in.

Now Chromium or Chrome works fine with Ubuntu-Beta fonts and doesn't seg-fault 
anymore.
