new test: booting without "vga=xxx quiet splash"

it give the same issues:
- first login fail and reset numlock
- second login usually works, except this time (few minutes ago) it crashed
(fall back to gdm) while writing a previous comment, but without resetting
numlock

so, what i think is:
- as this last crash have happened about 10 minutes after the real login
(second try), its hard to blame plymouth on that case, might think about gdm /
X instead (cant see where we could find a race)

- while booting without quiet/vga/splash, i've not seen any complaint,
so i'm only thinking to blame gdm or one of its dependencies (maybe some
wrong rights)
