I digged around a bit in the shutdown, reboot and the like scripts - essentially all these commands seem to be different calls to halt.
It seems like under some circumstances the shutdown/reboot scripts get damaged when you install LL on top of KK - this is what happened to me, I think. A simple fix could be an instruction appended here about how to reinstall these scripts, or an update delivered via the updates mechanism which reinstalls these scripts, maybe even the binaries associated with them. -- After upgrading to Lucid Lynx, power button won't shut the computer down https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/576367 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
