Can you reproduce this with a current Ubuntu 10.04.1 LTS? I tried to reproduce
it locally, but for me
$ apt-get source adduser
grabbed the po4a package:

Es wurden 13,9MB in 20s geholt (684kB/s)

Wähle vormals abgewähltes Paket libstdc++6-4.4-dev.
...
