Public bug reported: Binary package hint: unity
When I try to start the unity desktop (Ubuntu Netbook Edition from the login screen) as my regular user it goes straight to the normal gnome desktop. When I try to login as a new, test user to the unity desktop, the screen alternates between the standard ubuntu wallpaper (purple with white and orange splotches) and pure white, about every half second. I can see the mouse pointer, and can move it around. The keyboard works, and I can switch to a console or another X session. The unity desktop never loads. The test user's .xsession-errors files shows the same series of warnings and errors repeated. I will attach this file.
