new tweak: removing/purging everything about compiz, then rebooting this time this issue is gone: login work as it might, reinstalling compiz make this issue back again: so as this happen on maverick and not with lucid (without compiz), it seems to me that something into pam/gdm/compiz settings process is conflicting with password built with letters+num
my gdm login is roc53sa: so into gdm login, i first enable numlock then validate my password, and i've often seen numlockx been disabled when re-entering password for app or service. The problem exist with/without compiz and cant find what is disabling numlock: i only see it disabled when pressing "enter" to validate a password, so is it a keyboard setting issue or a utf8-FR or numlockx itself or gdm ? -- Pressing Enter crashes both X and plymouth in graphical mode https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/625239 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
