I am also having the same problem: Error: DBus error org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.ServiceUnknown: The name :1.630 was not provided by any .service files Please select another viewer and try again.
Login out of gnome and back in seems to fix the problem. This could be nautilus related since I can cd to: ~/.gvfs/iPhone/DCIM/100APPLE and see my photos there.
