I didn't have this problem whatsoever with 9.10. I upgraded from 9.10 to
10.04 and the problem arose. Every subsequent kernel upgrade doesn't fix
the issue. I'm using 2.6.32-24-generic right now, and still having the
same issues, albeit less frequent. I'll be installing 10.10 fresh, using
the 32-bit base and the PAE kernel, thanks to Adobe of course. I really
hope this issue doesn't persist on the 32-bit base!
