I, too, have this problem. If it helps, I am under the "safe graphics" mode, but I'm guessing this problem occurs under the normal mode, as well. This progress bar problem occurs with *every* GTK progress bar, not just certain programs, so it is obviously a theme-wide problem. I have included a screenshot.
