OMG, what you suggested worked!!! I am SO happy I have no words, lol. My internal mic now works!! Thank you Luke Yelavich!! :-D Here is what I did:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ubuntu-audio-dev/ppa sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get install linux-alsa-driver-modules-$(uname -r) Rebooted Opened up Gnome Volume ( went to "input" ) Opened up ALSA Mixer ( side by side ) Under "capture", the mic was set to "mic b", as soon as I set it to "mic f " I could see the bars moving, and I was hopeful. I then launched Skype and for the first time I now have internal mic. Works quite well. I had to turn down the "mic boost" in the ALSA Mixer to 20db. Works flawlessly!! I cant thank you enough!!! -- [Conexant ID 5067] ALSA test tone not correctly played back https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/622052 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
