hi just installed ubuntu 10.04 on a gateway DX4640-UBC01A nothing on the forums works when you shut it down it goes to a black screen and leaves the power supply on and the cpu fan on. you have to push the power buttion to shut off the power supply and cpu fan . testing i installed vista just to make sure it wasn't something with the motherboard it worked fine.
