Thanks for your report. (Invalid is the best status I can think of - it's really "can't do any better" but there isn't a specific status for that.)
We already build CD images against the most current available version of debian-installer. Unfortunately I can't determine exactly what happened on 20100623, as somebody appears to have deleted the CD-build log files. I think, though, that what happened is just that I forgot to update the file that says which set of kernel udebs to include on the CD when I uploaded debian-installer. This sometimes happens for a day or so, but it always gets corrected quickly. I don't think there's really any plausible code change to make here. We can perhaps do slightly better in terms of process, but the flood of bugs that arrives any time I get it wrong is an adequate reminder. :-) ** Changed in: debian-installer (Ubuntu) Status: New => Fix Released ** Changed in: debian-installer (Ubuntu) Assignee: (unassigned) => Colin Watson (cjwatson) -- kernel version mismatch between debian-installer and CD-ROM https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/597734 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
