Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: linux-source-2.6.20

In 6.06 and 6.10, Intel 537 winmodems could be forced to work by
installing 3rd party drivers. With Feisty, according to a number of
reports[1], these drivers cannot be compiled. As a result, Feisty users
won't be able to use Intel 537 modems.

A workaround or a fix in someway is needed. We already are bad at
supporting winmodems, last thing we need is to drop "support" (!) for
winmodems that can be made to work...
