Public bug reported: Binary package hint: firefox-3.5
After a time of browsing typing in the location bar will not bring up a search results window so choosing a previous web page from history is not possible. The database search sometimes comes back and other times I have to restart Firefox. I have not figured out what the causation is. $ lsb_release -rd Description: Ubuntu 9.10 Release: 9.10 $ apt-cache policy firefox firefox: Installed: 3.6.8+build1+nobinonly-0ubuntu0.9.10.1 Candidate: 3.6.8+build1+nobinonly-0ubuntu0.9.10.1 Version table: *** 3.6.8+build1+nobinonly-0ubuntu0.9.10.1 0 500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com karmic-updates/main Packages 500 http://security.ubuntu.com karmic-security/main Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status 3.5.3+build1+nobinonly-0ubuntu6 0 500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com karmic/main Packages ProblemType: Bug Architecture: i386 Date: Thu Aug 26 07:35:29 2010 DistroRelease: Ubuntu 9.10 InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 9.10 "Karmic Koala" - Release i386 (20091028.5) NonfreeKernelModules: nvidia Package: firefox 3.6.8+build1+nobinonly-0ubuntu0.9.10.1 ProcEnviron: PATH=(custom, user) LANG=en_US.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 2.6.31-22.63-generic SourcePackage: firefox-3.5 Uname: Linux 2.6.31-22-generic i686 ** Affects: firefox-3.5 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: apport-bug i386 -- typing in location bar does not bring up search results https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/624625 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
