You know exactly what will happen: people will discuss the issue endlessly and no-one will ever make a final decision. My top priority is sorting out the consistency issue because it's confusing for users, and that requires a decision to be made as soon as possible.
You, as an upstream, can decide on the approved terminology *now* and we'll just adopt whatever you say. The important thing is that a decision is made.
