Ok, I installed the 2.6.36-999 kernel. However, I was not able to install the current nvidia driver then. See: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nvidia-graphics-drivers/+bug/624473 Should I download the current driver from Nvidia website and try to install it manually?
