Having the same issue here on the 32 bit x86 version of 10.10. When I am running Compiz and a new theme is chosen, all the elements correctly change EXCEPT the window border. The only way to change the window border is to choose "Customize" and set it manually to the correct theme.
Quite annoying and could be very confusing to newcomers!
