The attached DpkgTerminalLog.txt shows you installing emacs22 and
emacs23 and emacs-snapshot and a bunch of packages, including cedet
which is known to have issues with newer emacsen.  I'm taking the
liberty to close this bug as Invalid because there is so little to go on
and apparently no way to figure out what really happened.  If you think
you can shed some more light on the problem, by all means feel free to
reopen the bug report.  Thanks for reporting this problem!

idea. Still cleaning out the debris. Built it from source successfully 
afterwards.
