I'm experiencing the same thing, and only in Yelp. I have an ATI X300.

At first I thought it might be due to using RGBA enabled GTK+, but I
reverted to the Lucid version and the problem persists.

There are a couple of things to note in the screenshot (which I was able
to take by moving focus to another window).

1. There's no scrollbar (it should look like the one in the terminal window).
2. There's a tear at the bottom of Yelp right below the information box.

The Help Browser is BROKEN. Scrolling up and down creates tearing, and it does 
not draw correctly. Thereby making the Help Browser broken and worthless.
