Original bug submitter's discovery on how to get the cursor back via a
suspend/resume cycle works perfectly.

As annoying as this defect is, 10.10 alpha 3 is miles more usable than
10.04 LTS where the X server would randomly reboot itself, independent
of whether KMS was on or off.
