I have a similar problem in the released Lucid. There are no error
messages but the icon is not anywhere in the sub-menus of the
Applications menu. I tried searching for "worldwind" and "ww2d" in my
home folder and the file system - no files were found, yet Ubuntu
Software Centre has marked the application as being installed.

I was expecting it to be an application that would work in Ubuntu
because it was listed in the Ubuntu Software Centre - feel free to let
me know if I'm being naive.

I'd be interested to know where Ubuntu Software Centre saves files.

Please let me know if I should have posted this as a separate bug or as
a question in a forum. I'm fairly sure I'm right in raising under
Ubuntu rather than World Wind because the Ubuntu Software Centre or the
Applications menu is not behaving normally.
