You don't have to compile the driver to get it work with the current Lucid kernel (2.6.32-24). You just need the configuration file (RT2860STA.dat).
1. Download the driver for "RT2860PCI/mPCI/CB/PCIe(RT2760/RT2790/RT2860/RT2890" from the page http://www.ralinktech.com/support.php?s=2 2. Extract the archive 3. Configure the configuration file RT2860STA.dat (see README_STA for information) 4. Copy your customizedRT2860STA.dat to /etc/Wireless/RT2860STA/RT2860STA.dat 5. Reload the driver ("rmmod rt2860sta" and "modprobe rt2860sta") I don't know, if it's necessary to insert the module in /etc/modules. Works for me with the configuration file from the 2.4.0.0 driver source and the 2.6.32-24 kernel on Lucid. Found that trick on a german blog (http://campino2k.de/2010/04/07/wer- lesen-kann-ist-klar-im-vorteil/). -- rt2860 doesn't connect on 802.11n wifi https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/442178 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
