Public bug reported: Binary package hint: mercurial-server
Fresh 10.04.1 i686 Ubuntu install, just marked mercurial-server package in Synaptic Package Manager and clicked Apply. Download went fine, but at the end of install process an error popped up and I saw in the detailed package install console view that installer tried to install the package again after fail. I aborted it, because it semmed to be frozen, closed synaptic. Mercurial seems to work fine so maybe is just a minor install glitch? Expected behaviour: normal install of a package Happened instead: an error while installing popped up apt-cache policy mercurial-server mercurial-server: Installed: 1.0.1-1 Candidate: 1.0.1-1 Version table: *** 1.0.1-1 0 500 http://sk.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ lucid/universe Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status ProblemType: Package DistroRelease: Ubuntu 10.04 Package: mercurial-server 1.0.1-1 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 2.6.32-24.39-generic 2.6.32.15+drm33.5 Uname: Linux 2.6.32-24-generic i686 NonfreeKernelModules: fglrx Architecture: i386 Date: Wed Aug 18 09:55:28 2010 ErrorMessage: subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 255 InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 10.04.1 LTS "Lucid Lynx" - Release i386 (20100816.1) PackageArchitecture: all SourcePackage: mercurial-server Title: package mercurial-server 1.0.1-1 failed to install/upgrade: subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 255 ** Affects: mercurial-server (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: apport-package i386 lucid -- package mercurial-server 1.0.1-1 failed to install/upgrade: subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 255 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/619976 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
