I'm running Debian and I have the same problem, and I found that un- checking the "Available to all users" box fixes it for me. When that box is un-checked, I get a GUI dialog box prompting me for my user password, and upon putting it in I can connect successfully. So it sounds like a problem with dbus or maybe X permissions when that box is checked.
Hope that narrows down the problem and is a viable workaround for most people. -- nm-applet will not connect using vpnc plugin https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/554393 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
