Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: synaptic

I started the auto - update process after being told that there were 84
updates available. There were no problems during the downloading of the
updates. About half way through installing the updates, it crashed,
and rebooted my computer. I am not sure which update was being
installed when it happened.
