I made a nautilus-actions script that adds "Run as Administrator" in the right-click menu for running binaries and scripts as an root without going to the terminal
To install it: 1. Install nautilus-actions from the package manager 2. go to System > Preferences > Nautilus Actions Configuration 3. go to Tools > Import Assistant and select the xml file downloaded from the attachment 4. log out and back in, you're done. ** Attachment added: "run-as-adminstrator.schemas" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/592330/+attachment/1489803/+files/run-as-adminstrator.schemas -- Running an executable gives a "root access is required" error instead of prompting for a password https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/592330 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
